Family Reunion Fun with Waterguns and T-shirts

As our families have spread out and settled in different parts of the country, having a family reunion is a great way for us to come back together and maintain our connection as a family. This is a time to strengthen family bonds and to build on a family legacy that continues to reach from generation to generation.

One of the challenges for planning a family reunion is building attendance. How about ordering fun and unique promotional items and apparel for your family members. Custom family reunion t-shirts are a great way to create unity at your family reunion. Consider taking a family photo of everyone wearing their t-shirts and posting it on your family reunion facebook page along with the rest of your family reunion photos.

Let’s not forget about the youth at the reunion. Some of my greatest memories as a youngster was time spend at our yearly Vernon family reunion, from fun in the car with my 2 brothers during the 8 hour drive south in my moms Plymouth Fury station wagon with the wood paneling on the side (don’t laugh, some of your parents had a Plymouth Woody with the wood paneling on the side, LOL! ) to the time me, my brothers, and my cousins spent outside in the hot sun swatting flies and running around the outside of my grandmas house.

We didn’t have iPods, Xboxes, and text messaging back then but we had so much fun and could not wait for the next reunion. Unfortunately, the iPod generation young folks today aren’t going to be excited about running around a hot grill and swatting flies under the hot sun. I can guarantee you, if this is the picture of your family reunion, the young folks are going to plead with their parents to never go back. (LOL)

Consider a family water gun fight using our plastic water guns (item #NQRPG-EYDMR), or hand towels (item #IJYXB-GGSIM) for a family soccer game, young folks against the old timers. You’re going to be drinking beverages during the reunion so why not order some 16 oz. plastic stadium cups (item #ELTVE-GGORF). This would be a memento that everyone could take home after the reunion is over. Every time that look at and use the stadium cup, they will be reminded of all the fun they had at the reunion. We will even print a box on the cup where you can write your name.

Now all you have to do is video all of these activities and post the videos on your family reunion Facebook page for everyone to see and reflect on, especially the family members who did not attend the reunion. When they see how much fun you had, they will surely come to the next reunion, so there you go, you just increased attendance for your next reunion!
